Guaranteed Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

Each day starts before dawn, when our Produce Buyers go to the Ontario Food Terminal to buy what our stores need for the day. We don't store our produce in a central warehouse. It's shipped directly to each store on our own trucks.

Between our buyers and distribution/delivery we have eight people devoted to bringing you the freshest, best quality produce possible.

At our stores, we don't keep a lot of "back up" stock. We buy and deliver produce everyday. But just like the big supermarkets, every Rabba store has a Produce Manager to take care of ordering and keeping our shelves FRESH.

Our buyers' week starts on Sunday mornings at the Terminal. We get a head start on arrivals from around the world, checking what's available, the quality and the price. Then there's the face to face negotiating so that we can secure as much of an item as we need whether it's a special; a high turnover item like bananas or something unique like guavas.

Our produce is ready for you as early as possible after picking or delivery to the Terminal. In the summer Ontario farmers bring their fruits and vegetables to the "market" and your local fruits and vegetables couldn't be any fresher.
